Socrates sat in Athens, teaching morality. His students? The very ones who unjustly condemned him to death. If morality could change the world, Socrates wouldn’t have been handed a hemlock cocktail.

Moses gave the Israelites God’s laws, led them through the Red Sea, and served them manna from heaven. Yet, after all that, only Joshua and Caleb took him seriously. The rest? They grumbled, rebelled, and built a golden cow. Talk about ungrateful!

Jesus Christ, the ultimate teacher of love and righteousness, wasn’t spared either. The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna!” turned around and screamed, “Crucify Him!” Even His disciples ghosted Him in His darkest hour. Yet, unlike others, Jesus didn’t come just to preach morality—He came to fix what morality couldn’t.

Here’s the hard truth: morality can’t save anyone. It’s like trying to clean a muddy car with dirty water—futile and messy. Religious texts agree. The Qur’an says if God punished everyone’s wrongdoing, no one would be left standing (Surah 16:61). James 2:10 puts it bluntly: break one law, and you’re guilty of breaking them all. In God’s courtroom, even a white lie gets you a death sentence.

But here’s the plot twist: Jesus stepped in as our substitute. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” In other words, Jesus traded places with us. He took the death penalty, and we got eternal life.

So, let’s be honest. Human morality? Filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). Perfect goodness? Impossible. But Jesus? He’s the only way to God, and His grace beats human effort every time. Forget trying to be “good enough”—He already did it for you. Now that’s good news worth shouting about!

Note this: If you read this and you believe that after believing Jesus, you can become morally degraded.

You don’t really believe!
